RYGE is a self-published comic born from a collaboration with my sister Nicole. She is a writer and I am an illustrator, so we came together in order to create this dark tale.

The story takes place in the fictional town of Staghol in 1317 as a desperate father, Viggo, deals with a mysterious disease that spreads through his community and affects his son,

With 28 full page illustrations, RYGE was a massive undertaking we are both extremely proud of, and hope to continue expanding on in the future.

THE UNOFFICIAL CONCLAVE FAN ZINE

Based on the Edward Berger's Conclave (2024), this project compiled the works of many artists and writers inspired by the film. It raised over 80k in charity for the Intersex Human Righs Fund, the Freedom Fund, and Librarians and Archivists for Palestine.

The composition for my piece, Certainty, is based off the Solomon Joseph Solomon 1911 painting, The Commons Petitioning Elizabeth I to Mary. I am very proud to have been part of such an incredible project.

"I loved Conclave so I drew together 54 creators into my hands and wrote this zine as a testimony to the crooked timber of humanity. In these hallowed pages, you will find essays, writings, and art inspired by those of us who entered Edward Berger’s vision of the world inside (and beyond) those sacred walls. Contributions range from the irreverently comedic to the deeply spiritual, a testament to the, well yes, a marvelous testament to its Universality, don’t you think? So many people of different cultures, races, bound together by their faith in Conclave.

To call Conclave a political thriller would be to shortchange the deep sincerity it holds for faith. To pin it as a Vatican exploit, would be to limit its examination of the full breadth of humanity. To cordon it as singularly serious would be to overlook its surprising capacity for lightness and humor. And to dismiss camp as a genre altogether would be a disservice to the deep grief and introspective compassion it contains.

Like the binaries listed above, Conclave continues to defy. May God grant us a zine that does this, too."
